Theme tune and sound design for HBO’s Emmy award winning news show.

Vice News Tonight was HBO’s first ever daily series, airing worldwide and covering a diverse selection of news in an anchor-less format.

One of the most diverse and challenging projects I’ve worked on; a news show without an anchor meant that the graphics and audio had to both present the stories and be able to adapt to the diverse feel and pace of daily news.

From creating the theme tune and various sound design elements to helping develop a ‘brand’ audio process, I worked closely with the Vice News team in shaping the audio identity of the show, from r&d stages right up to launch.
